About
public class Veggerby : IBlog is all (almost all) about .NET, ASP.NET and C#.
I have a great passion for software and software development. Most of all I am very passionate about Object Oriented Programming and Service Oriented Architecture (wow, buzz words
). I have a development history back from my fathers NewBrain starting out in Basic, moving on to Turbo Pascal on our first PC. There things went naturally to Borland Delphi (starting from version 3 all the way through to version 7). Then I took a break from Windows applications and threw my love on Un*x (FreeBSD in particular) systems and web applications, of course in PHP. During the 5 years where PHP was “my thang”, I have contributed to the OpenSource/PHP/PEAR community with projects as Image_Graph (my site on Image_Graph), Image_Canvas and Validate_DK – all of which I still maintain (when I find the time
). From there I had an encouter with Java, which I still like alot.
In 2005 I was so lucky to get a job at my current employeer, where I started out from scratch on .NET/ASP.NET/C#, and now I’m completely lost for this fabulous language and framework.
So when I look back over my “language” history, a clear pattern emerges… Anders Hejlsberg
This is strictly by coincidence though (or sub-concious at least).
There will most likely not be anything deep or new on these page, since Scott Guthrie already wrote it all. So what is left for the rest of us, well, just to aggregate stuff and present it in another way
Seriously though, this blog will just try to collect bits and pieces of .net and present it in a way that can be seen as a overview or reference. Most likely it will be because I’am tired of looking for some stuff on a gazillion different web pages and instead have my “own” reference manual.
The web site for Image_Graph is not resolving (http://pear.veggerby.dk/). Have you discontinued the documentation for this pear package? I still refer to the documentation from time to time, although I do not actively use Image_Graph (memory leaks were always a problem). It was a good package, though.
thanks,
tim
Hi, I was very happy to use Image_Graph. Your website with examples was extremely helpful – it is very hard to do new graphs without it.
I see in version 0.8 pie chart legend was fixed, and I wanted to create beautiful pies with it. But how, without your fine examples?
Please, if you still have them in any form, share them.
Thx.
Bart
You can find the samples now on http://pear.veggerby.com/
Hi !
are the Image_graph samples available somewhere?
http://pear.veggerby.com/ is no longer available
We use the package quite a lot. Terror is in my heart when I have to modify things !
Thanks!
Hi Steven,
The samples (source) is available on Github here https://github.com/veggerby/image_graph-samples
